Hans : These pictures are from the project Healey in the corner of my garage. This originally Dutch Healey was sold new to A.v.Vemde in Amsterdam on 9 March 1957. Around 1968 somebody thought that he could give the Healey a better grill than Gerry did. He wanted to give the car 4 headlights and also wanted to fit wider tires so he flared the wings and for the heat on your legs he also found the Jaguar XK solution. Than he found out that he hat to weld aluminium and he cut a piece out of the shroud to give it a try. You can imagine that he lost the way and the car stayed in the corner of his garage for 32 years. Now it is mine for the last 5 years and still in the corner, In the meantime I have "found" a front shroud and two N.O.S. front wings (they where in a container for 28 years). The car has the original rare Kilometres speedometer instead of the MPH and in the original Headlamps is sandblasted NL in a circle as in the early days when the where supplied new to the Netherlands. Believe it or not if you put petrol in the carburettors the engine runs fine after only 78294KM. For the rest the car is sound and has its original paint on it. Within two years I start rebuilding the car to its original model.

The owner in 1968 thought that he could give the Healey a better looking grill than Gerry Coker did.

Hans :

For the heat under the dash he found this solution. Probably stolen from the Jaguar XK

If you want to putt wider tyres under the car you have to flair the wings. This was the way to do it.

The original kilometer speedometer is still with the car.

Put some petrol in the carburettors en the engine runs fine after 40years.

Didier :

Thanks Hans,

I would await the photographs of the rebuilt car
